Payment Procedure Policy

Cash or cheques are accepted

Regular classes - You have two ways to pay for classes. Payment in full at registration or a deferred payment plan of half the registration paid at the start of the year with a postdated cheque dated January 1st, POSTDATED CHEQUES MUST BE GIVEN AT TIME OF REGISTRATION

Additonal classes are on a graduated system, the more classes you take the price of the classes are reduced.

Movers& Groovers and Creative Movement - There is no deferred plan full payment is due at registration

Class availability is on a first come first serve basis. There is a class limit to number of students

Refund/Cancellation Policy

There is a grace period of 2 weeks after class starts that a full refund will be made. One half of the registration will be refunded up until November 30th of the dance year. After this date there is no refund. This applies if classes are cancelled due to the pandemic.

Attendance - Attendance is taken at the beginning of each class. Attendance is imperative, as in absenses and tardiness can hold back the entire class. If a student misses more than two consecutive classes, their position in the dance is in jeopardy, and a parent/teacher meeting will be called. If a student misses more than four classes in total they will not be allowed to dance in the recital without an audition to ensure they know their dance up to standard.

Perfect Attendance Awards are given for perfect attendance. One excusable absence is allowed for sickness ( not travel, holidays, birthday parties etc) No Exceptions. If your child is sick, please keep them at home. I will not mark them in attendance if they cannot participate.

Dress Code Policy - Proper dancewear is required for participating in class. Failure to do so will result in not being allowed in class. Hair must be secured.

Costumes There will be a costume deposit at the end of November. Each dancer is required to put a deposit per class. Regular classes will have at least 2 costumes. Movers & Groovers and Creative Movement will have one. Costumes may also be a rental in which a major deposit will be required, to be refunded when the entire costume is returned.

Studio Bulletins and emails - A bulletin board is available with announcements for you to view in the lobby. We have gone green, to avoid paper use we are using emails for announcements. Please keep your emails updated to continue recieving information. All announcements will be posted on the bulletin board.

Parents You are not allowed in the dance studio during class. Please pick up your child on time. The Swan School of Dance does not require fundrasing, your only responsiblity is getting the dancers to class and on time.

Classroom Rules

No food or drinks or gum allowed. Just bottled water

No street shoes allowed on dance floor

Proper dancewear is required

Proper footwear is mandatory (should have name in them)

Hair is to be secured

No jewelry

Absolutely NO CELL PHONES allowed in studio. They are to be shut off, and stored in cupboard

Be attentive and respectful in class.
